About
Music, sociology, operations, software.

I play oboe and English horn (currently with the Greenwich Village Orchestra), which is what drew me to work at Juilliard in the first place. I’ve always been curious about how outside structures and inner motives shape what people do. That’s why I studied sociology alongside music at Boston College, and it’s the guiding framework behind my approach to systems design.
Before Juilliard I worked in operations at a startup, a college, and a regional healthcare provider. In each job, I paid attention to where my colleagues got stuck, usually where the system asked for one thing and their instincts said another. I’d look for a fix that followed those instincts instead of fighting them.
I learned the basics of coding during the pandemic, and over the past year I started building with Claude Code to fix problems in my work at The Juilliard Store, beginning with a small tool that matches images to Shopify products by the SKU in each filename. Each tool led to the next, and the store now runs its purchasing and special orders on software I built.
At the store
Sales Associate
I took special orders at the counter and answered “is my order in?” when customers came back for them. I learned the special order process from the front of house, which showed me what needed streamlining.
Interim Accounts & Receiving Manager
Running receiving, vendor invoices, and the annual inventory count, I learned where the records and the reality drift apart: orders arrive in pieces, invoices don’t always match, and stock isn’t always where it should be.
Operations Manager
I work across every part of the store’s operations and still run receiving. This is where what I learned in the earlier roles came together, and where I started building.
